Did you know that nothing adheres better to snow than snow itself? Here’s a tyre that transfers this knowledge onto the street. Due to an improved configuration of steep parallel sipes, more snow can be collected from the ground. This ensures a stronger grip and gives you more controlled handling. And whenever you have to brake, long wiping edges enable extra-quick drainage of water and slush to reduce the braking distance on frozen ground.

Since winter days can surprise you with rain, we worked on a piece of technology to ensure excellent driving behaviour on wet surfaces. Thanks to an improved composition of our CoolChili compound, which consists of new sustainable ingredients, you can always count on enhanced wet braking, while special hydro grooves ensure outstanding aquaplaning performance. So, whenever it gets wet, you already know that you are perfectly prepared.

Technology
The SSR system is a runflat technology developed by Continental especially for low section tires, which still keeps the tires compatible with all standard rims. The SSR principle is based on a self-supporting reinforced sidewall. In case of a puncture, this prevents the sidewall from being crushed between the rim and the road, and the tire from slipping off the rim, which makes a spare tire obsolete. Not having to carry a spare tire means a reduction in weight, which improves fuel efficiency. It also adds up to 80 litres of free space in the trunk. Fitting on four positions is highly recommended, if not yet mandatory by law and a tire repair is not allowed.
ContiSilent is a tire noise-reducing technology developed by Continental. It is designed to reduce interior noise on all road surfaces. ContiSilent tires are equipped with an inner tire absorber, a polyurethane foam, attached to the inner surface of the tread area with an adhesive. Regardless of the temperature, the structure of the foam stays intact. ContiSilent helps reduce interior vehicle noise up to 9 dB(A), depending on the type of vehicle, its speed and the road surface. At the moment it is only available for summer tires and is compatible with all commonly available rims. Driving performance is not affected and there is no negative influence on mileage and load/speed capability. Fitting on four positions is recommended.
ContiSeal is a technology developed by Continental designed to seal a damaged tire tread. In case of penetration by foreign objects such as nails, there is no need for immediate roadside tire changes, and holes remain sealed even if the puncturing object becomes dislodged.
